Postgraduate Hatton Prize: Orla Dunne

The Irish division of the International Association of Dental Research (IADR) held their annual conference in Belfast on the 7th and 8th of October. Dental clinicians and scientists from Trinity College Dublin, University College Cork and Queen’s University Belfast gathered for oral presentations and poster sessions for the undergraduate and postgraduate Hatton prize awards, postgraduate clinical award and the dental health foundation award. 

BREATH PhD student Orla Dunne won the postgraduate Hatton competition for her presentation describing the role of TRP channels and P2X receptors in dental pain. As the recipient of the Hatton postgraduate award, Orla receives the honour of representing Ireland at the IADR general session and exhibition in Chengdu, China in June 2022.
